Participants will visit an urban farm growing food on rooftops. They'll learn how an urban farm is operated in Singapore and learn about food sustainability, farming challenges and constraints.
Participants will experience how local produce may be grown sustainably using technology, with possible hands-on segments such as interacting with earthworms, feeding fish or harvesting vegetables.
This will be followed by a microgreens workshop, where participants will be provided with their own DIY microgreens growing kit and be guided through the setup of the kit, and caring and maintenance of the microgreens.
Participants first get inspired by a visit to an urban farm, then learn to grow their own microgreens at home. This is a wholesome learning journey designed for participants to learn about our food sources, while encouraging them to try growing food at home.
